Waterfront Barn Wedding at Jubilee Farm

The sun beat down with only a few small clouds in the sky as Reverend Bill spoke of Kara & Matt. They had shared a part of A Farewell to Arms with him during their meeting about their ceremony, a part that spoke to them as a representation of their relationship. He continued on, “We have to give Tom (best man) credit for bringing this about. You both knew him as a friend for many years: you, Kara, since middle school and you Matt, played baseball with him as kids and remained close friends over the years. Yet you had never met, until Tom invited both of you to a small get together at his house in March, 2013.”

Now here we were, four years later, we stood out in that sun on Jubilee Farm. A property on the water adorned with a small winery, a picturesque white barn & beautifully curetted gardens. The amazing hairstylist, Liz stepped in and did the girls makeup, while Hannah of Amavi Wedding & Events applied their eyelashes(these two girls rocked it and the four ladies looked incredible!!). When I arrived, Kara was the same girl I had met and been working with for a year – calm, cool and collected. Ready to marry this boy she had met four years earlier. A boy who at that meeting thought “her bright red hair made her stand out and she was definitely the prettiest person in the room! She was outgoing and had a nice big happy smile when she laughed.”

After four years, while meeting with Rev. Bill, Kara spoke of Matt, “I have never met anyone who is so caring. Matt always puts my needs and wants ahead of his own and is very tuned into my feelings. He also always knows how to make me laugh, which is crucial when I’m under pressure and trying to take too much on (which is frequently the case). I can’t wait to marry him and feel very lucky that I get to continue to spend my life with him.” Their Jubilee Farm wedding was a gorgeous & intimate event that I am so honored to have been a part of! They’re a couple that makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever!
