From the Photographer:
I wish I could tell you where Brad and Sarah’s story began, but it was so long ago that the details of it are all hazy to me. Brad is three years younger than me, so we passed each other briefly in high school when I was a senior and he was a freshman. I knew some of his friends by name, but not all of them, and when he started dating Sarah a few years ago he said, “You remember Sarah, right? Blonde hair, we used to ride dirtbikes together.” I recognized the name but that was about it! Even now, they still have classroom notes they passed to each other from back in the day, before they ever thought they’d be standing under a giant tree in front of their friends and family to start a forever kind of love.
I feel like I really didn’t “meet” Sarah until our family Christmas party that year where she braved the noise and the uncles and the insanity that comes with a family as big as ours. She looked a little wide-eyed all night, likely wondering where the hell the exit was, but maybe she thought we were alright since she’s officially one of ours now. Their wedding day was so happy and relaxed, so many friends and little nieces and nephews running around, plenty of good food and music, wild flowers and perfect late summer sun. Maybe I’m biased, but this is my new favorite!
